The MIKI PRIZE for Short Stories

****SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN****

What are we looking for:

Miki was a phenomenal writer who was sadly never published in her lifetime. Besides her own perfectionism and fear of disappointment, her obscurity was due in no small part to the scathing and confronting nature of her work. Despite the quality and bravery of her material, few were willing to stand behind it. It is with this in mind that her surviving brother, Paul Gallasch—with the support of her friends and the community that surrounded her—have set up this prize in her honour, to discover and foster writers like Miki, who might otherwise not be given the recognition they deserve.
